Lunar Gala Fashion Show

 Lunar Gala Fashion Show

Executive Producer for the biggest fashion event in Pittsburgh

Lunar Gala will always have a special place in my heart. In 2014, I embarked on the year-long task of managing a 200 person team to put together a professional production that sold out (over 1300 attendees) at Carnegie Mellon University. My duties also included managing our budget of $25,000, and coordinating with vendors, PR firms, and larger retail sponsors (J.Crew, BCBG and Rent the Runway).

In 2017 and 2019, I returned to cofound the Alumni Association, which aims to raise money for students’ design materials, sewing machines and other tools, and scholarships. We also started the first ever Alumni Line, where we brought back Lunar Gala Alumni to design and model in the show. When I sat behind a sewing machine, and designed two looks for Lunar Gala, I realized that I am so grateful to have experienced Lunar Gala from every possible perspective.

Back to 2014: the theme, Hypnôse, was imbued into the set design, editorial magazine, promotional videos and posters, blog, and website. This was the first year Lunar Gala launched a magazine and blog (archived).
